About
I build software, ship it, and run it. That's the whole pitch.

I'm Jeremy Ward. I've spent more than twenty years building web software professionally, mostly in Ruby on Rails. I'm not a VC-backed founder chasing whatever SaaS category is hot this week. I'm an operator and a builder. My whole career has been taking messy business problems, turning them into working software, shipping it, supporting it, and improving it based on what real users actually need.
GetBackTo came from a simple observation: small service businesses lose money when they miss calls, but most of them don't need another bloated CRM or a complicated call-center system. They need something practical — answer the call, capture the lead, help them follow up before it's gone. That's the kind of software I like building: simple on the surface, useful in the real world, designed around how contractors and agency owners actually work.
The broader platform came from the same place. Once you solve one operational problem, you start seeing the pattern. These businesses don't need more dashboards for the sake of dashboards. They need tools that cut friction, save time, protect revenue, and make follow-up easier.
My credibility isn't a perfect founder story or a stack of vanity metrics. It's that I know how to ship software, I know how to run and support what I build, and I care about building tools that are honest, durable, and useful. When you work with Workhorse, you're working with the person who builds it and answers the phone.
